We’ve all been there, whether we wanted to be or not: A single unexpected event or moment can turn out lives upside down—or send us down a figurative rabbit hole. “The phrase is a reference to Alice falling down the rabbit hole in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and has become a way for parents to give voice to aspects of parenthood that feel surprising, messy, unexpected, and chaotic,” she continues.
