Gen Z is feeling the economic slump.
Their days are clouded by a feeling of hopelessness in their financial stability and the job market, combined with their basic need to survive amidst rising rent and grocery costs. Not to mention the fact that the whole “work hard, get rich, retire happy” formula seems to be broken. It’s no wonder traditional definitions of success feel unattainable.
According to a new survey from Citizens, only 26% of Gen Z respondents want to climb the corporate ladder, fewer than 40% believe they’ll be more successful than their parents, and more than half (57%) say money worries are affecting their mental health.
