Allen Webster is one of my favorite people. Allen is the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) East San Gabriel Area Director. Allen and his wonderful wife Janelle have two boys and they live in Upland, CA. Allen and Janelle are also the social media experts for HomeWord. I loved this simple yet profound message. I hope it speaks to you like it did to me.

Life simplified…

Ready?

There are two things you can control, yes only TWO:

1. Your effort.

2. Your attitude.

Your preparation, planning and execution.
Then, how you handle it all as it unfolds.

We must then train not just our bodies, but our minds to succeed.

We may take hits, we may even fall…
Our family has had our fair share.

But in the moments of pain, the times we choose to climb back to our feet,
we find who we really are.

Train well my friends.

Mindset matters.

Allen Webster

Allen Webster serves as the Athletic Director at Western Christian Schools located in Upland and Claremont, CA. He and his wife, Janelle, were married in 2010 and have been doing relational ministry as a team ever since. Their passion is to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord, savior, teacher and friend. Previously, Allen worked for another para-church ministry, was a College and Young Adult Pastor and has led and served in a myriad of capacities within ministry over the last twenty years, including as an Area Director for both Young Life and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He loves being able to disciple and mentor both coaches and students, and he has a huge heart for teaching God’s word in relevant ways. Together, he and Janelle pursue relationships with coaches, athletes, and students alike in order to see them catch a renewed vision for their life and how God desires to use them to make a difference in the world.
