The Pastor’s Self-Care

FREE WEBINAR

Oct 13  |  4pm PT

No one prepared you to lead in times like these. None of us were adequately trained to shepherd through pandemics, gender issues, racial tensions and rioting. Maybe we were naïve, but we simply said “Yes Lord” when we heard His still, small voice call us into vocational ministry. And no one told us how lonely and isolated the journey would be in the midst of the aforementioned. Struggling to admit that we needed encouragement and care for ourselves, for many of us, felt like an admission of defeat or a sign of weakness. Join Dr. Jim Burns and Chris Cannon, director of HomeWord’s Healthy Leader Initiative, as they engage in a lively discussion centered around the best practices of pastors around the country. Some of the topics to be discussed include: The Leader’s TableWork/Life Balance: Myth or Possibility, Four Vital Disciplines for Ministry Leaders, What is a Spouse to Do? We will also be fielding questions and leaving room for interaction between Jim and Chris around the issues that matter most to you.
