The “great cloud of witnesses” found in Hebrews 12 were not perfect people, but depended daily on God’s strength and power in their lives.

Who would come to save the world? A powerful ruler? A mighty warrior? A skilled politician? No. God decided that Jesus would enter the world scene, just as we all have done, as a baby.

Into a world of darkness came light.
